Sponsorship to attend

Unfortunately, CREEM is not able to offer funded places on our workshops. However, we are very keen to pass on any information we have about potential sources of funding to participants. Below we list sources of which we are currently aware. If you know of any others, please contact us and we'll add the information to our list, to help future participants.

• From: Husam El Alqamy, Egypt.
  There is a program under the GEF/UNEP called Small Grants Program. I think it is a potential place to seek sponsorship for attendees from developing countries. The Grants could reach up to $50,000 I think sponsoring 2 or 3 attendees from a developing country won't be a problem for them especially that they are complaining from low number of applications to the program. http://sgp.undp.org/ Good luck.
• From: Sevvandi Jayakody, Scotland.
  Recently I made an inquiry from Royal Society of Edinburgh. Although I failed there might be some opportunities. Also try British council.
• From: Fernando Ugarte, Wales.
  I did get my participation sponsored by a training grant from Environment Wales. They support Welsh projects that are already registered with them.
